I talked to Mr. Reigen. About whether what Adlet said was true or not, and heard his side of the story. I was right to be suspicious about his cigarettes showing up on the toxicology report, Tama. He killed Yae Miko.
Isn't that funny, Tama? [ He says, finding it absolutely not funny at all. ] I told him if that many people believed in him then there must be something good in him that everyone is seeing.
After the fact, I wondered if we’d got the wrong idea with the cage and the fencing. We jumped to something cruel, but what if he was trying to keep her locked up so she couldn’t kill him? And then maybe no one would have to die. Not that it worked out that way.
People care about him. I understand that. But I struggle when it comes to caring about him to the point of condemning someone else because they ‘don’t like them’. That’s not justice. If someone did that for me, I’d be furious.
[ she frowns, and it’s a little bitter ] I wish people had moved on and kept looking, instead of doubling down on defending him. That we’d been more systematic. Then maybe we could’ve found who killed Satan — but would we have liked that answer? Maybe it would’ve been worse.
[ … ]
If this were a video game, we could at least reload and try again.
[ The endless rabbit hole of seeking the truth. Ryuki did that once, chased down every lead he could find in desperation -- and what'd it get him beyond an endless trip, down memories and alcoholism. ]
[ I did actually say he just disassociates tf out and misses execution that way so I guess this is happening. He is completely wigged out for the entire duration of execution. ]
she’s bundling him in blankets like ok how to get a heavily disassociating man back to his dorm and tucked into bed where he will be cosy? this is her goal now.
[ You want that post-execution one after all or do we just want to wait until Monday anyway. I feel like he'd just fall over if you try to move him but hey, he'll come back to sometime after execution and she can move him then. ]

It feels... stupid. It's like a video game twist.
