How was your booth?

I kinda flitted around other people’s booths — but it was fun either way. Did you enjoy your karaoke booth?

I got landed with it out of nowhere... [ Sigh. But his expression evens out quick. ] But it wasn't so bad. I've never manned one of them before, or been to any festival in a while.

But… it was fun. Especially when people really enjoyed what your booth was selling. I think I enjoyed this one more than last week’s party.

Sometimes it'll be a local thing, or whenever there's an event. Of the traditional variety. But yeah, it's also usually a school thing too.

I guess we just don’t see many of them in Tokyo — or rather we just didn’t have the time to go to them. Work is work, after all.

It's usually because we're too busy, yeah. They're not that uncommon. We don't go to Asakusa a lot, or if we do, it's on duty anyway.

Why a fish?

[ Sorry to say I have not seen a real goldfish scoop in years, granted understandable why. The last time I saw a goldfish scoop was when my Kyoto neighbourhood was still actually rural. Mr. Ryuki 'hasn't even seen a cassette tape in real life' Lastname.

Isn’t that what people do at festivals? Wander around, eat candy floss or apples and get their date a fish from the scooping game?

Oh. I made it at the craft shop the other day.

I thought it was for kids. Eating yatai food is definitely a quintessential festival thing though. And maybe some fireworks?

It was pretty fun to make actually. But if you break it there’ll be hell to pay.

It's not that difficult, is it? You need a tank, and some filters... and some aquatic plants... and then you feed them a couple of times a day. That's pretty easy, right?

Good. I kinda sucked at it at first, but Hana helped me out. So... [ basically ] I worked really hard, okay?

I tried myself for a bit, but I ended up getting some help from Hana and Nimona in the end. They’re kinda fiddly to make, but fun too.
