It's just-- knowing it and actually feeling it are different. I can read up anything on the physical descriptiors and natural reactions to pain, but it can't really account for experiencing it myself.
The concept of actual real life experience, versus just studying about it in books and never experiencing it for yourself?
[ listen, they get enough talking about parallel worlds and whatever naix is smoking, they can have a little philosophical discussion as a treat. ]
Yeah, I agree. Even before coming here, there were so many things I could “experience” that would never be quite the same way you were experiencing them, purely because you’re human.
What I was experiencing was a collection of other people’s experiences though. If something was cool to the touch, it was because the somnium’s owner subconsciously remembered it that way. But now it’s me actually touching things and analysing those sensations myself, and it does feel different.
she also does that thing when you like… put peanut butter on a dog’s nose and it’s trying to lick it off? expect it’s frothy milk from the latte on her upper lip. mlem. ]
— oh, it’s sweeter than I thought it would be. That’s the caramel then.

[ Said in the France is Bacon way. ]
Well, think of it kind of like... a reverse psync. Since I was the one who couldn't interact with things, but you could.

[ That absolute bitch. I took philosophy for fun I can say I hate him. ]
You're kind of like in your own Somnium then.
no subject
Kinda? Only it’s real. We think.
[ (kingdom hearts voice) she’s been having weird thoughts lately… like, is any of this for real? or not? ]
no subject
If it's all about the experience, then Somnium are just as real.
no subject
Ugggggh.
[ she
PAPS a hand on his face. ]
Does that feel real to you?
no subject
Yes.

[ PAPS him again for good measure. the way i am finding ways for her to touch his lil face once per thread and will continue to do so. ]

Probably! Or just the sugar, but caramel is sugar anyway...
no subject
And milk’s got a natural sweetness to it. [ siiiip. ] This kind of thing could get you sugar-buzzed pretty quickly.
