There was something about people who've lost previous rounds of this stupid competion being ... like... assimilated into the world or something? I remember seeing it way before we got confirmation you guys could come back, and wondering how they managed to give dead people a place here.
Maybe 'messed with memories' isn't exactly it, but didn't you think it was weird people here didn't question the competition or the executions for so long?
Not to the same extent, yeah, but I wonder if something got messed with. [ … ] Or if they were told this was the only way to stop this cycle from repeating.
