Somniums are open to interpretation, and influence. They can show you might know something about a situation, but they're not valid as evidence in court. We can only use them to guide us to something we might've missed, or a line of inquiry we might not have thought of.
A bit easier to talk your way around than finding a murder weapon in your house, right?
Because we're looking into complicated cases? We investigate first, it's if we find someone who's hiding information from us that the Somniums come in handy.
Honestly, talking about the Somniums are kinda weird anyway. It’s not like I’ve ever talked with them outside the handful of people who know about them.
[ like she’s doing something she shouldn’t and boss is going to emerge from behind a bush and dock her pay. (she doesn’t get paid) ]
But what about you? If you’d want to avoid a Somnium, does that mean you have something to hide?
Probably someone who thinks a lot about doing the right thing for everyone. [ among other things, but. ] I'm not that kind of guy. If there's something I want to do, I just go for it. That's it.
I think a hero's someone who just... tries their best for people. I don't think it has to be someone who always succeeds, or who always does what the law says they should do. Laws are flawed in and of themselves.
[ she shrugs. ]
Someone who does what they think is right, even if it's the harder thing to do. That's better than someone who blindly follows laws without thinking about them.
You really do live in, like… the golden pirate age, huh. [ asking how many pirates are in one piece would probably be like asking how long is a piece of string. ]
If there’s that many pirates out there, then I believe my “matter of perspective” theory more.

[ there's an underlying "you need a warrant to do that" that he won't say but that might be obvious from the look on his face ]
I feel like someone looking at your house is still better.

There's another reason as well, but I'm really not talking about that one. [ lol. lmao. ]

Yeah, they are usually out to keep inconvenient things, or things that benefit them swept under the rug.

[ honestly, attempted jailbreak is more heroic that manipulating the news to make manslaughter look like calculated villainy so. ]

Yeah. That sounds about right. But I'm not that kind of person. I told you, I just do what I want. I'm a selfish kind of guy.
